HydroTac® is an advanced wound dressing designed to enhance wound healing, particularly during the granulation and epithelialization phases. It features a mesh structure impregnated with hydrogel, which acts as a moisture reservoir. The hydrogel is made of a hydrated hybrid polyurethane/polyurea polymer that contains propylene glycol. This composition helps create the optimal moist wound environment, which is crucial for promoting healing and accelerating the regeneration of healthy tissue.
The hydrogel prevents the dressing from sticking to the wound, enabling painless dressing changes. HydroTac® absorbs exudate from the wound while simultaneously releasing moisture, maintaining the ideal environment for healing. The dressing is non-adhesive, and it can be cut to the desired size. To secure the dressing in place, a suitable secondary dressing should be used.
